The TBA has recently teamed up with the National Stud to offer a one-day seminar on preparing and selling yearlings at the sales.
The seminar will take place at The National Stud’s Joan Westbrook Lecture Theatre on Wednesday 30 May and will give delegates an insight into what it takes to successfully prepare a yearling for the sales and find out what potential buyers are looking for.
The seminar will consist of talks from a number of leading industry experts which include John Hernon (Cheveley Park Stud), Louise Jones (Connolly’s Red Mills), Liam McGillivray (Newmarket Equine Hospital) and Harvey Bell (Tattersalls).
The talks will then be followed by a discussion panel on ‘What buyers are looking for in a yearling’, which includes Tim Lane (The National Stud), Paul Thorman (Trickledown Stud), Angus Gold (Shadwell Stud ltd), Gerry Meehan (Newsells Park Stud) and Amanda Skiffington (Anglia Bloodstock).
Tickets for the event are available to members of The Thoroughbred Club for a price of £54, or £108 for non-members and includes lunch and light refreshments.
